Country Boy with Charlie Daniels on fiddle and energetic verses by George Jones and Chris Young creates a balance between classic and modern country. Lewis' introspective, personal and relative lyrics prove that country music is about lifestyle and values, not necessarily where you grew up. And as Country Weekly notes, "...don’t make a mistake, it’s a country boy driving a truck and carrying a gun."
Lewis says the country has always inspired him. The singer-songwriter grew up in rural Vermont and spent the summers hunting and fishing with his grandfather, a WWII veteran. During this time he developed a love for the land, the forests and the simple life that still permeates everything he does. "I grew up listening to country music," says Lewis." My grandfather heard Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Hank Jr., and all the other greats."
